Summary

The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining ticketing department technology regarding data ingestion, delivery, and infrastructure along with ensuring the accuracy of current and new data sources for Barclays Center and the Brooklyn Nets. S/he will be part of the Ticket Analytics team and will report directly to the Director, Ticket Analytics and work closely with the pricing team and data analyst.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Build new/maintain existing data pipelines into various data stores including AWS S3 and a PostgreSQL data warehouse
• Build new/maintain existing Tableau reports;
• Work with Data Engineer to build schema in SQL environment for long-term data storage;
• Operate in close liaison with our external data warehousing vendor, Agilitek, to maintain/improve data warehouse functionality;
• Investigate efficacy of implementing new data sources into data warehouse;
• Perform/automate data integrity checks to ensure accuracy of data;
• Strive for expertise knowledge of all data sources, particularly multifaceted Ticketmaster data/back end;
• Assist Analytics team with ad hoc data pulls, analyses and statistical modeling projects;
• Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned;

Education and/or Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, statistics, business or mathematics;

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python;
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Tableau or PowerBI;
• Knowledge of/experience with AWS cloud environment: S3, RDS, etc.;
• Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access)
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills;
• Ability to communicate complex concepts and processes to non-technical partners;

• Ability to create and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills

Travel Requirements

May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel); trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay for one or more nights.

Work Environment

Works primarily in an office environment but may be expected to attend games and other events on evenings, weekends and holidays.
