The Account Executive will join a team managing Comcast/Xfinity vast portfolio of local partnerships that include NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS and NCAA. You will manage day-to-day client relationships and local team partnerships, driving the renewal process, sponsorship management, and working with clients to implement and advance Xfinity marketing goals and initiatives. The role spans client services, partnership management, negotiation and contract support, and marketing strategy. 

Comcast/Xfinity is a Fortune 50 company in a highly competitive telecommunications industry, a top-25 sports sponsor in the United States, and 2018 finalist for “Sports Sponsor of the Year” (Sports Business Awards). 

This role will report directly to the Account Director of Client Consulting + Services. This position can be based remotely or connected to any of GMR’s offices in the United States (Milwaukee, San Francisco, Charlotte). 

 

 

YOUR IMPACT //

 

  • You enjoy building relationships and marketing strategy 
  • Be the primary point of contact for assigned Xfinity clients and partner teams 
  • Manage partnerships, timelines, and client needs to advance marketing goals and initiatives  
  • Develop presentations, perform research (primarily online) and share industry news 

 

  • You are a self-starter who can lead implementation of the partnership process, including: 
  • Providing analysis of the sponsorship landscape 
  • Suggesting partnership solutions to client marketing objectives 
  • Producing data-driven valuations of sponsorship proposals to determine fair market value 
  • Creating strategically-sound recommendations on new and existing partnership opportunities 
  • Negotiate sponsorship terms in accordance with client direction and benchmarks 
  • Assist in drafting and supporting the development of sponsorship contracts 
  • Work closely with the Sports Creative account team to manage client requests and fulfill contractual sponsorship creative according to specifications and time and budget parameters 
  • Monitor partnership assets, inventory, data and results with an eye for optimization  

 

  • You are a positive and active team player 
  • Coordinate select programs and elements that require attention to detail and follow-through 
  • Introduce new ideas and thinking to Xfinity’s partnership strategy 
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Olympics, NASCAR, Gaming, Talent, Rewards) and support groups 
  • Maintain administrative aspects such as tracking documents, meeting invites, agendas, recaps 
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

YOUR EXPERIENCE //

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field required 
  • Minimum 2-4 years of partnership marketing, sponsorship management experience 
  • Understanding of partnerships, brand strategy and client services 
  • Team, league or agency experience is a plus 
  • Experience negotiating partnerships and/or supporting sales/renewals is a plus 
  • Sports business and sponsorship industry knowledge 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to meet and deal effectively with clients and partners 
  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and forthcoming with ideas and new thinking 
  • Ability to build strong relationships with clients remotely; work collaboratively with team and support groups 
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills; ability to simultaneously manage multiple assignments 
  • Strong presentation development and presentation skills to varied audiences 
  • Excellent written and verbal skills; ability to develop and express ideas 
  • Demonstrable problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset 
  • Willingness to work on days and times outside the normal work week when needed 
  • Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
