OVERVIEW: 

Tough Mudder is looking for an experienced Jr Creative Director to maintain our brand globally while guiding all creative projects and is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the global Tough Mudder creative department.

The Jr Creative Director guides all projects and is responsible for the overall quality of work produced by the global Tough Mudder creative department. In addition to guiding the design output, the Jr Creative Director will be responsible for ensuring the organization maintains brand standards and brand voice while playing a key role within the marketing team to help generate big ideas. Core responsibilities include:

  • Managing the creative process from concept to completion
  • Translating marketing objectives into clear creative strategies
  • Lead and direct the creative team in the production of all marketing collateral
  • Ensure visual communication and brand standards are met
  • Manage the company’s DAM and the organization of all brand assets including, but not limited to brand guidelines, logos, photos, and videos
  • Global copywriting lead across all channels - creating a consistent tone of voice, imagery, key messages, and customer profiling
  • Curate collections of event photography to be utilized for creative outputs
  • Collaboration with the content team in the production of video, digital and written content
  • Support the partnerships team in development of client pitches and proposals
  • Review work, troubleshoot and provide feedback to creative teams
  • Play a key role within the global marketing leadership team to help  explain campaign strategies and maintain consistencies throughout channel activations and content curation
  • Work closely with the Global Director of Product to clearly understand the event products and features to translate into marketing visuals and campaigns

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 years of experience in a creative field, with at least 2 years of experience in managing a creative services team 
  • Strong understanding of  industry trends and creative tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
  • Experience performing or managing a range of creative positions, such as graphic designer, art director and copywriter is important
  • Experience with at a fast paced agency is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of advertising and brand marketing
  • Expert knowledge of the business side of design is a major plus
