Digital Product Designer – UI/UX

 
Who are we hiring?
As a Digital Product UI/UX Designer at MSG, you will be responsible for how our brands and venues’ vision manifest across our digital product ecosystem – specifically app and web. As part of the Marketing org, you will work closely with the Senior Digital Product Design Manager, IT, Data & Analytics, and several other stakeholders to ensure a best-in-class experience across all of our platforms. The ideal candidate must be an always-on, self-starter who can problem-solve in a collaborative, extremely fast-paced, and highly dynamic culture.

What will you do?
  • Develop data-informed wireframes, designs, flows, and additional documentation/presentation
  • Work closely with Marketing Strategy, IT and other key stakeholders to help define product opportunities and contribute to the overall product strategy
  • Execute final, “pixel perfect” UI designs and package, spec, and prep for IT; work with IT to make sure asset deliverables are to spec and properly documented
  • Support asset creation and publishing for all of MSG’s platforms (Knicks, Rangers, MSG.com, Rockettes, Apps)
  • Manage your bandwidth and project pipeline to execute UI/UX design in line with your team’s product roadmaps
  • Assist maintaining design systems and libraries in conjunction with the wider Marketing/Design team to ensure product-wide visual consistency
  • Quickly iterate and offer versions based on design critique from key stakeholders and/or learnings found in user testing or data
  • Align designs with external vendor capabilities
  • Present strategic plans, and designs directly to team members, stakeholders, and leadership

What do you need to succeed?
  • 1-2 years of digital product design experience.  
  • Previous UI/UX product design experience at consumer-focused tech or top tier media/entertainment/sports companies (preferred)
  • First class user interface and interaction design skills
  • Exceptional design velocity: ability and willingness to quickly produce multiple concepts
  • Experience designing for a variety of screen sizes and platforms: for fully responsive web experiences and/or for mobile (touch-device) apps
  • Must be organized with exceptional time management and multitasking skills, with an ability to thrive under pressure & obsessive attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working closely with engineers
  • Experience in prototyping UI/UX interactivity and in incorporating motion/animation into UI/UX
  • A keen knowledge of what is possible in modern Android, iOS, and web development and of design and interaction patterns and trends within each
  • Deeply collaborative and iterative approach to product design, focused on ensuring a unified experience across the board
  • Expert in Figma (or Sketch) and Adobe CS
