JOB OVERVIEW

Oversees tactical planning, development, coordination, and implementation of marketing and communication programs for product launches and go-to-market execution.  Works in conjunction with Marketing Directors to ensure timely delivery of critical project milestones as well as preparing and presenting plans and updates. Collaborates with cross-functional marketing team to develop marketing programs designed to create demand and brand awareness, as well as maximize market penetration and sell-through. Ensures that all marketing functions are working in concert on product rollouts, tour activation, key moments on the golf calendar, group-wide initiatives & priorities, and other opportunities that maximize brand exposure and equity.  Supports the development of above-the-line advertising campaigns & assets, and the planning and execution of media activation.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for facilitating the development and delivery of go-to-market initiatives in assigned areas, including the ideation, formulation, prioritization, tracking, and enactment of plans for product / campaign launches across all marketing functions
  • Identify and socialize key brand / company moments on the golf calendar, then facilitate approval / prioritization of ideas and activations, followed by driving team buy-in and activity to bring initiatives to life
  • Develop excellent inter-and-intra department relationships, creating strong communication between functions to ensure awareness and cohesive participation across the department
  • Inherit, enhance, and identify select brand partnerships with internal (ex: HR, Sales) & external parties (ex: Video Game Manufacturers, Charitable Organizations) to build brand equity via cross-functional activation of these opportunities
  • Assist in evaluating new media/advertising opportunities, activating media buys and partnerships, and facilitating the development of advertising campaigns and assets
  • Serve as key point of contact for Global Marketing Teams; communicating plans, identifying risks / opportunities, and delivering updates & assets to regional Marketing counterparts globally.

  • Excellent understanding of marketing for sporting goods

  • Experienced and comfortable developing and delivering presentations
  • Ability to originate and foster creative process from ideation to implementation
  • Understanding of advertising evaluation & development process and media/partner activation

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic team player.
  • Knowledge of golf business
  • Working knowledge of office software products (MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing/communications or related experience preferred
  • Golf/sporting goods industry knowledge preferred
