The Sr. Director is responsible for managing a sales staff, assisting in providing vision and strategic direction in leading the organization’s sponsorship revenue, and working with other departments within the organization to create additional revenue driving opportunities

• Strong business acumen and proven sales record generating high revenue and acquiring new business revenue through new and existing clients.
• Direct the sales staff and serve as its central point of contact for all tasks
• Accountable for performance of the sales team.
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic leaders/partners/clients/stakeholders to foster trust and influence key decisions in support of organizational revenue growth.
• Responsible for selling sponsorships, for both new business and renewal deals, and manage new business lead-generating projects.
• Work with internal strategy and analytics department to measure key metrics to ensure partner ROI.
• Oversight of sales materials to ensure partnership marketing and sales materials are in alignment with Astros marketing department’s brand vision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sport Management or related field/ equivalent experience .
• 8+ years of direct sponsorship sales experience, either in the sports or entertainment fields.
• Excellent communication skills (written, spoken, listening and presenting).
• Ability to be a thought leader and strategic thinker.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks & projects simultaneously.
• Proven leadership and decision-making skills.
